We invite you to discover everything about the Inaugural Pan Mediterranean Geotechnical Engineering Conference, hosted in the vibrant city of Beirut – Lebanon, between 25 and 28 March 2026.
LGES is organizing and hosting the inaugural Pan Mediterranean Geotechnical Engineering Conference under the auspices of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) and the Order of Engineers and Architects (OEA) in Lebanon.
The ISSMGE board endorsed the creation of this regional conference and its recurrence every four years in one Mediterranean country. We are taking the lead in 2026!
Under the theme Bridging Borders: Geotechnical Challenges and Innovations across the Mediterranean, the PMGEC will be a groundbreaking gathering of researchers, practitioners, and students from around the Mediterranean to share experiences, identify challenges, and propose innovative solutions in geo-engineering practice. Participants will explore the latest advancements and technologies designed to tackle contemporary geo-engineering challenges, including sustainability, climate change, artificial intelligence, and smart infrastructure.
